Terima Kasih!

Means thank you in Malay.

There are a few things we've realized the first two days here:
(sorry the pictures are out of order, it's too hard to mess with them here)

1) Waterfalls are awesome, especially when they function as natural water slides. (more on this later)

2) Climbing 272 steps to see a slightly creepy Hindu shrine, although tiring, is nothing compared to the estimated 12,000 steps we will have to climb to ascend Mt. Kinabalu.

made it!
That statue was really big...

3) Malaysian food is tasty, especially their way with fruit drinks. Yum yum.

4) The Petronas towers are tall.
5) Candis is a rock star. Everyone we hang out with knows her. It's amazing.

6) 30 minutes really isn't enough time to see downtown Hong Kong.

7) Sliding down waterfalls as friends in succession only heightens the enjoyment. Here are Will and Candis followed by our friend Ali G, ever the goofy Iranian.

More to follow soon, and pray for us on the mountain over Sunday and Monday.
